Understanding the dashboard and navigation

The dashboard is a starting point, not a complete register. It brings together the records most likely to need a decision, reply or follow-up based on what you are allowed to see.

What appears on the dashboard

  • Priority can include an open poll, high-priority work, the next meeting, unfinished finance work, a company warning or unread notifications.
  • Community updates shows recent announcements.
  • Upcoming shows the next calendar items.
  • Building work shows active work in priority order.
  • Notifications shows recent updates and links back to their source.

An empty or calm card does not mean the underlying register is empty. Open the relevant section when reviewing all records.

Main sections

  • Building: works, major works, compliance, insurance, assets, handbook and sale packs.
  • Documents: search all permitted documents or organise general files in custom folders.
  • Communication: announcements, discussions and polls.
  • Meetings: draft, publish, run and finalise association meetings.
  • Events: shared calendar items and reminders.
  • Financial: property charges, bank activity, bills, funds, reports and year-end records.
  • Units: the durable record for each flat, apartment or other configured unit.
  • People: residents, invitations, committee roles, external contacts and access settings.
  • Profile: your details, association settings, security, notification preferences, subscription and exports.

Sections can be hidden or locked when you do not have the required permission.

In these guides, Financial > Bank means choose Financial in the main navigation, then open the Bank tab. Labels such as Flat or Apartment can follow your association's unit naming setting.

If you need a record that is no longer on the dashboard, open its main section and use that section's search or filters. If the section itself is missing, ask the person managing your association's permissions to check your access.

Notifications

Opening a notification takes you to the record that caused it. You can filter the notification list and mark items read. In Profile > Notifications, each category can use in-app alerts, instant email, a daily digest or no routine email.

Important notices, such as a new financial demand or committee role change, may still send email even when routine category email is off. This protects important association actions from being missed.

A useful daily routine

  1. Review Priority.
  2. Open unread Notifications.
  3. Check work, meetings and events that are due soon.
  4. Complete the action on the original record rather than relying on the dashboard summary.
